Kiran Eupuganti: I am now a PMP!

Happy to say that I have Passed the PMP exam.
Many thanks to Progressive Ventures team for PMP training where I attended PMP workshop and learned PMP Concepts.

Here is my Lessons Learned:
· It was 5 months continuous study at an average of 2 hrs per day after completion of PMP workshop
· Before PMBOK read , my plan was understanding PMP concepts and then plan for how to Pass the exam
· Considering my constraints (Profession, Personal etc) I have drafted a plan for 5 months at an average reading of 2 hrs per day and 2 weeks duration for practicing mock exams
· First time PMBOK reading , tried to concentrate on understanding PMBOK
· First time Rita Mulcahy 6thEdition reading, tried to concentrate more on PMP concepts , worked on the questions at the end of each KA
· Completed Second read of PMBOK and Rita Mulcahy, simultaneously worked on Rita Practices sets (PG and PAs).
· After this I got confidence on PMP processes and concepts , also I was trying to map with my daily work and my experienced projects what I did in Project Management perspective
· One day surprisingly I have seen the Head First PMP book and found out more examples , completed all questions at the end of
each KA
· So far with above preparation I have completed 4 months.
· Last month I have changed my strategy , what PMPs say about exam and their experience
· Registered in Yahoo Groups (PMPExam Forum, PMHUB , PMPBest) , read through several lessons learned and browse couple of PMP sites , understand next plan of action
· Now my Plan was to Pick and understand no.of situational questions from good sites.
· Out of all I have selected , PMZilla , PMStudy , techFAQ360 sites , Head First and collected free mock tests, paid tests
· And finally material from Progressive Ventures helped me to understand integration between all the modules and relevant
· Above all my plan was to cover and understand more no.of situational questions instead of scoring more during practice questions
· No specific T&T memorization instead took each process understand purpose of process and framed i/p , o/p , T&T and connection
processes, this way I did couple of times for 42 Pas
· As I have to balance job , personal , PMP preparation , I took the advantage of PDCA cycle and utilized maximum time of
Saturday and Sundays (No office right)

My thoughts after exam results
· Tests from (Free , Test1 and Test2)
· Paid Test from
· Tests from Rita Mulcahy
· Test from Head First
· Integration chart from Progressive Ventures (Mapping PG , KAs and Pas)

Really helped me lot
Tests from PMStudy and PMZilla sites 80% similar to Final
PMP exam and developed my knowledge.
I can say around 1000 questions (refer above sites) of reference did turn my result into POSITIVE , my last one month preparation
(mock tests) was truly helpful which I understood after coming out of Prometric
Ultimately I am Positive throughout preparation , eagerly wanted to understand PMP concepts and wanted to apply in my Project Management, no fear about PMP exam ,it’s part of your professional career just prepare based on schedule , deal it and execute
it , you will definitely get through. This is my daily slogan throughout my preparation.
