I'm a new member on the pmphub. Currently I'm an unemployed License Architect who have close to 12 years of experience. My project management experience are from assisting integration, executing the projects, monitoring and controlling, closing. I was fortunate to be a candidate of a program that retrained the unemployed in a program which I was placed in Project Management. Only 4 of my classmates out of 12 passed the PMP exam. Unfortunately I was one of the classmate that did not pass but remaining positive that I will pass on the second try. After rereading some of the PMBOK I figured out what I did wrong when answering the questions on the PMP exam. I think when I took the PMP exam the first time I think I was reading too many books. I read the PMBOK, Rita, Head First PMP, CAPM/PMP Exam Guide by Joseph Phillips, Brainbok, took a lot of practice exams. I think I'm just going to concentrate on the PMBOK, Rita, practicing a lot of exams. Can I ask what study material everyone else are using?

Hello all,

Thinking of writing my CAPM and looking for study materials.... anyone have any suggestions? I've seen lots of material for PMP but not so many specific to CAPM. Could I use a PMP for CAPM? TIA.

Hello,

I've worked as a production scheduler for more than three years. I was initially thinking of getting the CAPM certification, but I have enough experience for a PMI SP cert. so I'm going to attempt to study for that. I've taken many project management classes over the years. It would be nice to be able to access help through tis forum.

Greetings All,

Im a IT professional working as a Team Lead for the past 18 months. Im very much intereted in progressing my career towards a PM role. I have read the PMBOK 3rd edition and ever since been meaning to take a CAPM certification. This forum is a gold mine for resources, and I hope to share my kowledege and contribue where possible.

Im currently reading Andy Crowe's 4th edition book and since I dont have real project managing experience, I need to pick a provider who can satisfy the 23 hour requirement. Im evaluating the ones that are available online.

Prepcast and PMP bootcamp seem to fit in nicely with my budget. But I would like to know how much of this training applies to CAPM. I really dont want to get overloaded with things which are only applied to PMP exam, I can see this happening with Prepcast vidoes.

I do intend to purchase the HeadFirst PMP book soon. So far the materials I will be using are - Andy Crowe, HF PMP, Online Prep Course and PMBOK

I have also borrowed Joseph Phillips All-in-One book from a mate but dont think I will use that much due to some incorrect answers/typos.

Im yet to reasearch on the Practise exam q's. I see there are thousands out there, but not sure how much of that is relevant to
CAPM.

Can someone who has trained for CAPM please advise on the exams/books you followed?

Thanks for your time.

I am answering to all questions asking for references on study materials. You can chek here in this Forum the rating of Study Materials by PMHUB members.

Another way is to read the Lessons learned of those who already passed the exam in this PMHUB Forums, the LL Forum and also the PMHUB Blog: http://pmhub.net/wp
I setup this Forum after taking advantage of studying practically hundreds of LL in my company's database and now collecting LL from hundreds PMHUB members.

Hello
I am currently working as program manager at HCL, while I am able to manage projects , but I woould like to do it in more structured manner. This is the reason I am studying PMP and appearing for exam in feb 2012. I have been recommended to this portal by friends who are certified and found this site to be very resourceful.
